How Individuals can Support the FRB

With an unprecedented wildfire crisis across the Western US, we’ve received numerous emails from people asking how to invest, donate or get involved in the Forest Resilience Bond (FRB). In response, here are the ways in which YOU can help in supporting the FRB.

Invest

The FRB product is technically a loan, not a bond. As such, it does not have a CUSIP, is not available on online platforms and is not available to retail investors. We hope that this will change in the coming years. In the meantime, our partners at Calvert Impact Capital provide a way for individuals to invest in high impact projects like the FRB, starting at just $20. Learn more about their Community Investment Note and invest here. If you are an institutional investor or advise one, please let us know and we are happy to discuss potential future investment opportunities in FRB projects.

Donate

Blue Forest is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization registered in California. We received our official tax status determination in 2020 and are now accepting individual donations here. Blue Forest provides receipts for tax purposes.

We also hope you can consider supporting our partners in their critical efforts to both restore the Tahoe National Forest and to promote broader efforts that advance conservation finance. These efforts, highlighted below, are through our partner the National Forest Foundation (NFF), the congressionally-chartered non-profit partner of the US Forest Service (USFS):
